A focus on integrated, experiential and reflective learning differentiates our MSN degree. Classes meet every other weekend. This program can be completed in at least 18 months.

Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing

Professionals with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing can enroll in this fast-track program to earn both their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing in as little as 18 months. Graduates will be well positioned to treat patients, lead health care teams and advance to post-master’s study, including APRN certification or a doctoral program.

Master of Business Administration

Real-world situations and cross-functional coursework — as well as the highly experiential teaching methods in our 24-month MBA program — are designed to enhance your abilities to lead, manage, create and compete in today’s and tomorrow’s global marketplace. Classes meet every other Saturday throughout the year, and our cohort model allows you to build deep relationships with classmates from a variety of industries.

Master of Science in Community Psychology

Our MSCP degree emphasizes health and community involvement in prevention, intervention and treatment of mental health issues. After graduation, you’ll be eligible for the Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT) credential. Classes meet every other weekend and on some weeknights, and most students complete the program in three years or less.

Master of Arts in Education

Our MA in Education concentrates on teaching, learning and assessment and offers a number of specializations. It is designed for working teachers and those who wish to become teachers, as well as those who aspire to become school or district leaders. Classes meet every other weekend and on some weeknights, with additional class times available during the summer. This program is designed to be completed in two to three years.

Educational Specialist in School Psychology

Our interdisciplinary School Psychology graduate degree blends education and psychology so you have the tools to help students who need more support academically, socially, behaviorally or emotionally. Classes meet on Friday evenings and Saturdays, and the program can be completed in three years.

Master of Arts in Music and Liturgy

Our Master of Arts in Music and Liturgy program prepares music ministry leaders for service in a culturally diverse church. This flexible, low-residency program can be completed in just 25 months through a combination of experiential learning during the annual five-week summer session, and four online courses (one per semester) that dovetail with your parish work during the year.

Master of Music Therapy

Our Master of Music Therapy program, the first in Wisconsin, will prepare you for advanced practice by enhancing your knowledge in music therapy theory, clinical skills and research. You’ll take most of your classes online and will be required to be on campus for up to one week each summer. This program can be completed in two to three years. We also offer Continuing Music Therapy Education (CMTE) credits.

Doctorate in Education

Educators looking to grow as leaders will find dissertation support from day one of the Alverno EdD program, which focuses on developing executive-level skills for classroom innovation, administrative leadership or the business world. We offer two tracks: K-12 leadership and higher education leadership. Targeted at working professionals, this fully online program can be completed in two years.

Doctor of Nursing Practice

Our DNP degree prepares you to assume leadership roles in complex clinical environments, lead the development of health care policy, translate research into practice and serve as an expert clinician.
